Left thigh bone was broken in an accident - Mrs. Alpana Midday - West Bengal, India May 18, 2022

Greetings of the day and hope you are fine and doing well. 

Marc, the lady you see in the video was given 

₹10, 000 Rupees ($129 USD) for her treatment. 

The lady's name is Mrs. Alpana Midday and she is a resident of Bill: Khatsara, PO: Dakshin Barasat, Dist: South 24 Pgs, West Bengal. She was suddenly affected by lumber spondylitis five months back as a result her right hand and right leg became paralyzed despite being under treatment of Dr. Nabnit Agarwal (associated to B. R. Singh Hospital) & Dr. Amalesh Basak (associated to SSKM Hospital) 

During this period, while going to the washroom, she suddenly lost her balance and the left thigh bone was broken by that accident, she then got that operational treatment under Dr. Asis Mandol at Samparka Nursing Home, and ironically through biopsy, she was recognised as a cancer patient. 

At present, she is undergoing treatment at Netaji Subhas Chandra Cancer Hospital. Her husband lost his job during Covid and is unemployed and there is no earning member in the family and the family is now in a hand to mouth situation. Therefore  to continue the treatment to make her survive is a great challenge. 

When she was handed ₹10, 000, her eyes welled up with tears of gratitude and fresh hope and she thanked Marc and his project 100 Friends for their thoughtfulness and generosity.

Mrs Wafa Keirhallah, age 40, from Essaouira in Morocco. May 18, 2022

Meet Mrs Wafa Keirhallah, age 40, from the town of essaouira in Morocco. 

- Wafa is a single, energetic, educated person whose both parents are no more. 

She works as a receptionist in an hotel for $400 per month. However since Covid19 two years ago and a weak tourism industry she earns $180 per month which is such an handicap compare to the $400. 

Luckily she owns  her own flat, therefore no rent to pay. 

Wafa is a very generous person who cares and donates to a few homeless persons in her area on regular basis. 

- However, this time Wafa is in trouble as she is suffering with gall stones stage 2. She was in need of $1200 to cover the operation cost which she did not have. 

-The pain was increasing and she could not go for the operation due to shortage of money. 

-She sold her tv and few other things to collect money but that was far from being enough. 

Thanks to Marc Gold and 100 Friends, she was able to receive $500 and was operated the very next day and had 4 stones removed. This was such a good timing !!

Wafa is now under recovery and she is full of praise for 100 Friends.
