100 Friends October 31, 2022. School distribution (50$×2) Morocco
100 Friends has recently joined hands with Frenchman Mr. Jacques Gorim who provides preschool village children in Essaouira region with school supplies and hygienic material.
-Material distribution in Ouassen and Molay Bouzaaktou villages were made possible with the help of 100 Friends (2×50$) as well as donations from local well wishers.
- Each class of 15 students were provided with teddy bears, toys, games, a bag with a coloring book, a box of colored pencils, a dental hygiene kit with a cup, a toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, a yogurt, a drink, and a packet of wafers.
Additional balls, educational games, books and a first aid kit were given to the teachers to benefit the schools.
These village children receive minimum support from state government, therefore such donations to the children make them feel special and it works on their motivation to attend school.
Uttara at work for 100 Friends in West Bengal, India November 1, 2022
Dear Marc,
Greetings to you from India, West Bengal, Baruipur and hope you and your family are doing well.
Marc, I did not go out for works in October as it was the month of festivals and celebrations.... Durga Puja, Lakhi Puja, Bhai Phota and Chhat Puja and so on... Moreover, visiting this puja month would mean giving subscription to the various puja pandals and therefore I delayed my visit to avoid giving money unnecessarily...
Today (01.11.22) I set off for Vill: Shibtala at Belegachi and distributed grocery packets comprising of 4 kgs potatoes, 2 kgs onion, 1 packet of biscuit and a packet of horlicks to 14 very needy senior citizens.
20 School going children above 10 years were given a blanket and a school bag while 18 children below 10 years were given a small educational kit each comprising of 2 exercise copies, 2 pencils and an eraser each.
A poor villager with 3 children and an aged father were having a rough time as a large portion of their roof had been damaged during a storm and so he was given a large sized tirpal to prevent the rain water from coming inside their mud house....
Expenditure Incurred for months October and November :-
1. Grocery - ₹ 285 x 14 = ₹ 3990 - $48.26
2. Blanket - ₹ 200 x 20 = ₹ 4000 - $48.39
3. School Bag - ₹ 250 x 20 = ₹ 5000 - $60.48
4. Educational Kit - ₹ 130 x 18 = ₹ 2340 - $28.31
5. Tirpal (Big) 1pc - ₹ 2500 - $30.24
6. Transport - ₹1200 - $14.52
Total Expenditure - ₹19030 - $230.25
In case of any queries please feel free to let me know.
Thanks and warm regards,
Uttara
