23 May 2026 First Emergency Medical Fund Case -Project with Dr. Sovan) – A Life Saved - O Klar Khmom Village - 2 hours from Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Dear Marc,

I would like to share with you the first case in which the emergency medical fund has already helped save a life in O Klar Khmom Village.

On May 23rd, 2026, Mr. Ros Tit was working as usual at the palm oil plantation. He was collecting dry wood from a wood pile to bring home for cooking. While taking the wood, a snake hidden underneath the pile bit his foot.

Because the village is far from medical services, he had to wait almost two hours before someone could bring him to Dr. Sovan’s clinic.

According to Dr. Sovan, the snake was a Malayan Pit Viper, which is a very poisonous snake. Fortunately, Mr. Ros Tit’s life was saved thanks to the emergency treatment. Dr. Sovan immediately provided IV injections and the necessary medical care. After his condition became stable, he was able to return home with medicine for continued treatment and recovery.

The emergency medical fund from the 100Friends project already saved one life.

Thank you very much for your kindness and support for this remote village. Your help is truly making a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of these families.

With gratitude,

Ly An

(Project with Dr. Sovan) ,May 10th, 2026, Support 25 families at O Klar Khmom Village, Cambodia

 Dear Marc,

I would like to sincerely thank you and the 100 Friends Project for your generous support to the families of O Klar Khmom Village.

As Dr. Sovan informed us, this small mountain village has only 25 families. Most villagers survive by working on plantations, collecting mushrooms, trapping rats, hunting, and growing vegetables. Their income is very limited, and many families suffer from poor nutrition due to hard labor and lack of nutritious food.

On May 10th, 2026, we visited O Klar Khmom Village to carry out the 100Friends support project together. We provided support to all 25 families in the village.

Each family received:

  • 25 kg of rice
  • 1 box of instant noodles (24 packs per box)
  • Clothes washing detergent
  • Shampoo
  • Soap
  • Cooking ingredients including soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar
  • Clothes

In addition, we placed a medical emergency fund of $300 at Dr. Sovan’s clinic to help villagers receive urgent medical treatment when needed.

We are also currently holding an additional $700 from the 100Friends project to continue this support program again in November this year.

The villagers were very thankful and happy to receive this support. Your kindness and generosity are making a real difference in their lives.

Thank you again for your compassion and continued support for these families.

With gratitude,

Ly An
