Here are some examples of 100 Friends at work in the field in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic from July through October, 2020.

Cambodia: Our team has been distributing food, medicine and sometimes school supplies to local villagers. Our staff have also been distributing masks, soap and good advice in the form of public health information. Many villagers either didn’t know about the virus or they were badly misinformed.

Hot meals distributed to local Cambodian schoolchildren:

Rice our staff purchased to distribute to hungry families:

Photos below show families both requesting and receiving aid from 100 Friends:

Food, medicine and masks etc. distributed to individuals and families in our program in Burma:

This Burmese girl had a head wound and an infected ears but she has now recovered completely.

This girl was badly burned by hot water but she also recovered -
so glad we have good staff that could get her
treated successfully.

India. The next four photos show families who have been receiving food aid
from 100 Friends during the pandemic:

This is Raju - an orphan in West Bengal, India. Because of the pandemic he was
almost forced to drop out of school but 100 Friends is paying for his
education, food and clothes.

This photo - taken in Kolkata, India shows how difficult it is to practice social distancing in such a crowded country as India. Only the United States has more cases in the world than India.

The Philippines has one of the highest rates of Covid-19 in Southeast Asia. 100 Friends has good contacts there so we are able to help many individuals and families.

This street vendor is taking a rest and as you can see he is wearing a mask for protection from Coronavirus given to him by 100 Friends staff. Manila has been on full and partial lockdown for months.

As most schools are closed in the Philippines many children are put to work including this boy recycling garbage and trash during the pandemic. At least we were able to get masks for him and other trash collectors.

In most neighborhoods in the Philippines you see signs like this warning outsiders not to enter without a mask or not at all during the nightly curfew.

100 Friends helps support this program in southern Thailand for villagers who have lost their jobs and cannot purchase food during the pandemic. The second photo shows aid recipients lined up in the rain while waiting for food parcels.
