Uttara helping children and elderly in Rajapur Village in West Bengal, India January 13, 2023

Dear Marc,

Greetings to you from Baruipur, West Bengal, India and hope you are doing well.

Marc, I set off for Rajapur a small village in Betberia which is about 20 kms away from Baruipur Station at around 8.50am.

On arrival I was greeted by the sight of some old feeble men and women patiently waiting for their grocery with shopping bags in hand.

Grocery packets were handed to 22 senior citizens who looked so eager and feeble. Those who could stand were asked to stand together so that I could take a short video while those who were bed ridden were visited by me at their residence. They were given potatoes, onions, dal, puffed rice and soyabeans.

20 school going children were handed 4 long exercise copies each.

Expenses Incurred:

For 22 Senior Citizens
22 Grocery Packets @ ₹ 348 x 22 = ₹7656
or
4.27 USD X 22 pkts = 94 USD
For 20 Children
4 copies @ ₹22 x 4 x 20 = ₹1760
Or
0.27 USD X 4 copies = 1.08 USD X 20 = 21.6 USD
Transport fare - ₹900
Total Expenditure (₹7656 + ₹1760 + ₹900) =      ₹ 10316 $126 USD

In case of any clarifications please feel free to let me know. Sending you videos taken by whatsApp and attaching photos here.
Thanks and warm regards,

Uttara
