I hope you are doing well. I am also doing well and fortunately i could visit Sihhmui refugee camp which is around 15 kilometers away from my village this week.
The population in this camp including children is 140 people.
40 of them were children and women took majority within the camp. They were looked after by local joint groups for refugee committees with limited source of income from our state government. For building bamboo houses by renting local land and rice and dal.
Hearing from them, they can send their children to school in the village for primary and middle school. Also hearing that they are short of rice and dal as they stop receiving government rations in the last 2 or 3 months and they very much appreciated our help/support...bags of rice, dal, potatoes and sugar. I am attaching a few pictures with this mail.
Expenses:
1) 3 bags of rice costs - 4500 Rs.
2) Sugar costs - 2250 Rs.
3) Alu (Potato)cost- 2000 Rs.
4) Auto hiring costs- 1000 Rs.
