Uttara helping people in Uttar Bhag Village in West Bengal, India for 100 Friends

November 7, 2021

Dear Marc,

Greetings of the day and hope you are doing well and enjoying your brief holiday!

I set off for Uttar Bhag Village in a hired auto-rickshaw with grocery packets and medicines.

Through the support of 100 Friends, I was able to reach out to many. I was able to give medicines to a couple happily married for 35 years. Despite having two sons neither support them and they somehow manage to stay alive by renting out two rooms in their house. They were also given Rs. 800 to have the wife's ECG done.

Seven family members were given grocery packets comprising of Rice, Dal, Biscuits, Potatoes and Onions.

A family of 3 children were given Rs. 1000 to buy winter clothes.

Medicines were given to two old men suffering from cardiovascular disease.

Rs. 1000 was given to a family to repair their house just before winter set in.

Expenditure incurred:-

Medicines - Rs. 3847
Woollen Clothes - Rs. 1000
Grocery - Rs. 2256
Bamboo, Tin & Ropes for repair - Rs. 1000
Transport - 900

Total - Rs. 9003 ($121 USD)

Thanks and warm regards,

Uttara
